First off, Thank You, Universe!

This year, we marked 10 amazing years of BuxieJo!

Ron and I spent 2 weeks in the Mediterranean exploring, eating, and boating our way through 4 countries.

We participated in an amazing 37 shows this year!!! 7 of them new, all of them a super fun success. Ron and I spent a total of 3 months away from our home. We have his parents to thank for this as none of it would be possible without someone to love our fur baby Fritz while we're away.

We saw our Texas friends in the spring and fall as well as our KC friends! We added a bunch of new bag-family in Memphis (visited Graceland again, #elvisera continues).

We sold our Covid camper, thanks for the memories 🏕

Humbled by @coloradohomesmag feature 🙏

We made a record 17 S.E.V.E.N.T.E.E.N collections with our own 2 hands, and I don't know how many Wild&Wooly bags.

We continue our commitment to our social impact, Mental Health Colorado.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support our small business this weekend! I can't believe how many of you showed up and am beyond grateful for each and every one of you!
This year I had the opportunity to volunteer for the show as a new member of the @juniorleaguedenver and I can tell you first hand, this event is a resounding success because of all the love behind the scenes!
On Thursday, I helped artists load in their beautiful displays, and you guys, I walked 6 miles in 3 hours!
Next time you walk an art show or event of any kind, please take an extra second to appreciate the environment and selection of artists/small businesses and organizations. There is SO MUCH that goes into bringing the magic to life!!!

Many of you have grown not only with BuxieJo, but with me, Kerrin, and I appreciate all of your support throughout the years. As part of my gratitude I feel a connection and to sharing with you, a little of my personal journey.

I grew up with an alcoholic father. I've been honest about this part of my childhood, because I feel the more we talk about things that make us uncomfortable, the more we understand it. His lifelong battle with alcohol led to a very, very chaotic home for us all. The peaceful times were the proverbial calm before the seemingly inevitable storms. He is the reason we donate a proceed of all our sales to Mental Health Colorado.

Fall is an amazing time and when it really starts feeling like our year is coming to a close. We have just a handful of events left, our traveling is done, and the majority of our frenzied work life is over. This leaves us with very peaceful days, where we get to wake up and prescribe our lives with whatever feels right. And the idea of PEACE leaves me often with an ominous feeling. When you've grown up in a chaotic existence, you're given a much different set of tools in life. I have tried to create a life where peace is the number one goal, but it turns out I feel much more useful when I am solving problems, doing too much all at once, and so on. Disappointingly, too often it feels natural to connect our self-worth with our rate of production. So, here is what I am focusing on until or lives go back into overdrive, come Spring:

Focusing on resetting my nervous system through mindfulness during the quiet times. This season I am reconnecting to what brings me joy, which turns out are some of the truly simple things. I love cooking thoughtful and nourishing dinners for Ron and I, being more tuned in to my workouts, and not letting distractions win. If you're interested, this is what I'm loving @barrewithadrienne . Ron loves catching up on reading mystery novels and is getting back into yoga after a hiatus during the pandemic. We go on quiet walks with Fritz once or twice a day and enjoy the silence and the change that the winds can bring.

With everything in life, there is an ebb and flow.
